Restaurant operator fined after woman suffered anaphylactic shock

The operator of a Newcastle restaurant has been fined after a woman with a peanut allergy went into anaphylactic shock on her 18th birthday.

Eleanor Lincoln ate a takeaway, chicken tikka masala, at home as part of a family birthday celebration in March 2021. She went into anaphylactic shock and had to be treated with adrenalin via an Epi pen before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
