Planet Riesling Goes Transatlantic

Defining the new Northern heartland for world-class Riesling:
Finger Lakes and Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula

Monday 6th July | 2pm-4.30pm | Labombe by Trivet, Mayfair W1K 1LB

We are delighted to invite you to join us for a special tasting exploring the emergence of a new Northern home of world-class Riesling across Finger Lakes and Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula.

Fresh from FLXcursion 2026, the Dr Enno Lippold (Riesling Doc) alongside world-renowned sommelier Zoltan Szabo will uncover the latest expressions from this cool-climate region, where geography, climate and decades of viticultural evolution are shaping a distinct and increasingly defined identity within the global Riesling landscape.

These wines speak of vibrant energy, precision, purity and site-driven character, with remarkable longevity, reflecting a region now firmly establishing itself among the most compelling developments in contemporary wine.

A Transatlantic Perspective on Planet Riesling
Monday 6th July | Labombe by Trivet

Zoltan Szabo will be guiding the tasting, drawing on many years as a sommelier and wine director in Toronto, with first-hand insight into the region’s evolution into one of the world’s most dynamic centres for cool-climate viticulture.

The wines:
Still Rieslings: dry, off-dry, sweet and botrytis
Sparkling Rieslings
Rare mature vintages demonstrating remarkable ageing potential.
(wines and final running order to be confirmed)

Steven Spurrier captured it perfectly: “Riesling is not a grape, it is a planet!”

We look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you to this gathering of fellow sommeliers, chefs and wine professionals, offering a rare opportunity to explore one of the most compelling developments in modern Riesling.

With our best wishes

Enno, Zoltan and Fran
