Exciting Opportunity for a Dynamic General Manager at Tom Aikens’ Fine Dining restaurant Muse in Belgravia!
Are you a seasoned hospitality professional with a passion for delivering unparalleled guest experiences? Join our prestigious fine dining restaurant spanning two exquisite floors, and take charge of both front and back-of-house operations. As our Restaurant General Manager, you are instrumental not only in upholding our AA 5 Rosette standards, as well as helping us try to strive for and obtain a second Michelin star. You are also managing a dedicated team, and ensuring the continued success of Muse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elevate Standards: Spearhead efforts to maintain the restaurant at the highest possible standards, ensuring effective organization and impeccable management at all times.
- Financial Leadership: Take charge of the financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), collaborating with the Operations Director to set and achieve sales and operational targets.
- Exceptional Service: Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of high-quality food and exceptional customer service standards, responding proactively to customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Team Development: Identify and implement ongoing training and development initiatives for both front and back-of-house staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, health and safety, and security procedures, demonstrating a commitment to the well-being of both customers and staff.
- Market Awareness: Stay ahead of the competition by monitoring market trends, reacting strategically to maintain a business advantage.
- Leadership: Inspire, challenge, and motivate the entire team, providing constructive guidance and ensuring a positive work environment.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate outstanding problem-solving and organizational skills to address challenges promptly and effectively.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of Food, Health & Safety, including COSHH and HACCP.
- Customer Focus: Proven experience in setting customer care standards and resolving customer issues.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey the restaurant’s story to both team members and guests.
- Team Management: Ability to coach and develop a high-performing team.
- Organisational Skills: Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Business Acumen: Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and labour control.
- Tech Savvy: Working knowledge of general computer/hospitality systems.
