Following a three-year international search, Freed From assessed more than 9,000 alcohol-free drinks from over 2,300 producers across 57 countries. Fewer than 4% ‘Made the Grade®’. The launch brings together wine alternatives, spirit alternatives and elixirs from 42 producers.
The final choices were supported by an independent panel including Henri Chapon MS, DipWSET, Eric Zwiebel MS, Camille Vidal, founder of La Maison Wellness and creator of Mindful Cocktails™, Federica Zanghirella, Vice President of the UK Sommelier Association, and Stefan Kobald, Head Sommelier at Core by Clare Smyth.
The producers will not attend – deliberately – allowing guests to taste and compare without a sales pitch. Downstairs, wine alternatives will be presented alongside The Liquid Edit, a beautifully made 12-drink hotel dry minibar. Upstairs, expect bespoke cocktails from spirit alternatives and elixirs, accompanied by a classical guitarist.
Canapés will be served throughout, with larger plates from 1-3pm and 6-8pm.
